Cognizant Technologies: A global IT company where he worked, directly, with the CEO to set up a Corporate VC/Enterprise Business Accelerator that focused on developing innovative/disruptive technology for their customers. Trident: A top-tier VC in Silicon Valley. Mark was Managing Director focusing on investments in the high tech sector, and hands-on management support of portfolio companies, M&A and turn-around space. Mark also founded a cyber security services and risk management company while at trident that was later sold to Cisco Systems Oracle: The world’s largest enterprise software provider. Mark served as CIO and Senior Vice President of Global IT. He managed global resources in 145 countries including Oracle’s On-Demand (SaaS/cloud) operations. He also served on Oracle’s Product Development Management Council which made make/buy decisions resulting in over $30B of acquisitions and was responsible for the integration of these acquisitions in to Oracle’s business units. SAIC: Mark co-managed a Transformational Outsourcing business and sponsored nine strategic investments in early stage and growth companies resulting in ‘top tier’ VC returns for the Company. Quantum Magnetics: Mark was head of the R&D Division in this early-stage company, which was an industry leader in explosive and illegal drug detection technology. He brought QM to profitability, which sold to Invision Technologies, and then to GE. Raytheon/Applied Remote Technology: Vice President of Business Development, Mark managed business development and R&D for Raytheon’s multi-billion dollar Submarine Signal Division which had acquired a startup company, Applied Remote Technology, where he was a principal. ART provided marine robotics solutions and sensors for both the commercial market and the US Navy. Honeywell: Mark held executive positions including the management of US Navy's Mine Neutralization Systems deployed on USN Mine hunting ships and the development of advanced technologies for mobile underwater systems used in the offshore oil market. Prior to entering the startup and corporate business world, Mark spent four years in professional football with the New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs, and Oakland Raiders. Mark holds an MBA from National University, a master’s degree in engineering from California Institute of Technology, and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, |
